Удружење за колпоскопију и цервикалну патологију Србије Serbian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology was formed in 2006. It continued the work of the Section for pathology of the cervix, vagina, vulva and colposcopy of the Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of Yugoslavia, which was founded in 1995. Since then, the Society has been continuously working to improve the quality of colposcopy in Serbia through education, organization of professional meetings and cooperation with other similar foreign associations.

Удружење је члан Европске федерације за колпоскопију (The Society is a member of the European Federation for Colposcopy (EFC) and the International Federation for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (IFCPC).) и Интернационалне федерације за колпоскопију и цервикалну патологију (International Federation for colposcopy and cervical pathology-IFCPC).

• Promotion of the best possible standards of colposcopic practice in Serbia.
• Organization of education according to European standards for colposcopy training
• Introduction of European standards for the treatment of CIN in gynaecological practice in Serbia
• Standardization of terminology and quality control of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the field of cervical pathology in Serbia
• Encouraging basic and applied research and spreading knowledge about cervical pathology and colposcopy
• Organization of expert meetings and participation in regional or national congresses of related associations
• Fostering cooperation with international and regional related associations in the field of improving education and research in cervical pathology and colposcopy

In order to achieve these goals, joint work and determination is needed to give colposcopy an even more significant place in Serbia.

Membership in the Society is voluntary and is acquired by fulfilling the conditions established by the By-Laws and a written statement on joining the Society. As a rule, members of the Society are specialist doctors who deal with gynecology and obstetrics, pathology or related disciplines. They have the right to participate in all activities of the Society, to vote and be elected to the Societie's bodies. Regular members of the Society pay a membership fee, the amount of which is determined by a special decision of the Board.
